"...but for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
Friday, May 28th
Mom and I had a pretty good day today. Since I was off today, I was able to be with her for her dentist visit - she received a "good progress report" from the doctor.
We spent the day doing some odd jobs around the house and also running some errands. Mom, Josh and I enjoyed a great lunch at Big Bad Wolf and then took our mandatory short nap back home.
Josh took Tobi to work this afternoon to get him groomed, while Mom and I made plans for this coming week's projects. We hope to get the new floors installed down-stairs, along with replacing some rotted wood on the back deck.
Returning to The Blog Spot
As you know, I recently decided to leave Facebook and return to our family blog. Although I did enjoy seeing certain friends and all of the family, I was getting tired of some people using the format to gossip and talk about "stupid" things. I realized that my time was limited and (really) the only people who were interested in what I was doing, was my family.
I'm planning on keeping everyone up to date (on what's going on), leaving posts and having plenty of pictures to share. Of course, everyone knows that I always have a camera near by.
I hope everyone has a good holiday weekend...stay safe!
Here's the latest project that Mom and I have tackled. Mom bought an old bedroom dresser, prepped and painted it, and got it up-stairs to the bonus room. I think it turned out great - now we're looking for something new to work on!
Tami and I enjoyed a quiet time tonight. We watched a movie with Tobi while Josh was at work. We're back now checking our email before calling it a day.
Tami went to a ladies retreat this evening with some of her church friends. She'll be back tomorrow afternoon. I took the opportunity to get some painting done. I decided to go ahead and tackle the stairwell area of the bonus room and finish the painting that I started two or three years ago. I'm painting the walls the same color yellow as the bonus room.
Tami and I went down to Atlanta for the week and had a great time. I worked in the Marietta area while she visited her folks. While there, Amber got stuck so it kinda neat seeing how we could figure a way to get her out. Tami and I enjoyed a good seafood meal in Augusta and then swore to get back on our diet. We made it back home late Thursday night around 9:00.
